What is the ozone therapy?
Ozone therapy is a new natural therapy consisting of the application of a mixture of oxygen and ozone through a diverse set of techniques and with various therapeutic aims depending on the patient's particular ailment.
This therapy has existed for more than 30 years, mostly in Central Europe, for the treatment of numerous and diverse pathologies and has achieved excellent results in countless cases resulting in the avoidance of surgical intervention on the pathology under treatment.
Ozone therapy in traumatology
Disc herniation affects the inverterbral disc, and is caused by bad posture, abrupt movements, excess weight, lifting weights incorrectly, etc. The first measures to treat disc hernia are conservative, with various pharmacological treatments, but if these measures fail only surgical treatment remains to heal the hernia, a surgical procedure with a high degree of complications.
OZONE treatment is a new form of treatment for disc hernias WITHOUT SURGERY and with results similar to those obtained through surgical intervention but without the complications. There is less disturbance to verterbral anatomy and the patient quickly returns to an active life.
Percutaneous discolisis with OZONE in the treatment of disc hernias is a minimally-invasive technique based on the application of OZONE both at the level of the slipped disc and the paraveterbral muscles.
To treat the inflammation of processes in the elbow, (epicondylitis, or tennis elbow), in the shoulder or the hand as well as arthrosis of the knee or hip, the intra-articular infiltration of OZONE achieves, through its powerful anti-inflammatory properties, a significant clinical improvement obviating the need for corticoids and other analgesic pharmaceuticals or anti-inflammatories as well as preventing the need for surgery in the majority of cases.
In fibromyalgia rheumatica the administration of subcutaneous ozone therapy has demonstrated excellent results on contractions and painful areas thanks to its powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
The large number of benefits that the application of OZONE has and the fact that it practically has no side effects means that OXONE treatments give excellent results, are comfortable to apply and can be administered to almost all patients, irrespective of the associated pathologies they present. All this means that OZONE treatment is ideal for application in the traumatology field.
