Located on the ground floor of the Clinic, it provides an important service to clinical and surgical services, operating 24 hours a day.

It is made up of four sections.

• Haematology.        
• Biochemistry.
• Bacteriology.
• Clinical Immunology
  

• Tumour markers.
• Immunodeficiency studies.
• Immunoglobulin serum sample determinations (allergic studies).
• Histocompatibility antigen study (of great interest for organ transplant patients).
• Autoantibody study (Collagenosis, auto-immune diseases).

This section acts as a reference Laboratory for many provincial labs, both public and private, given that until now it was necessary to refer them to other national centres.
